One of my friends told me last year he would be hosting his birthday party at a Mexican restaurant on Dalhousie. I just couldnt envision this restaurant; where in heck was it. It was only when I drove by that I realized the sign was quite hidden and so was the restaurant itself. We walked down the stairs into a very open cantina; literally what you would experience in any hot country where the food was served in large outside. I looked through the menu that looked rather familiar to other Mexican restaurants but the presentation was much simpler. I tell you, do not judge the food by the presentation. Sure they splat the food on the plate but bite into the freshly made tortilla and you will understand why Ahora has such a great name for itself. That, in addition to the very little you’ll end up spending there, is a great place to experience.
Ahora, meaning ‘now’ or ‘at present’ makes you stop thinking and appreciate every last bite; to enjoy the moment ‘now’. If you havent been definitely include this on your restaurant wish list.
